Periodic Points of Solenoidal Automorphisms

Abstract:This talk is in the area of topological dyanimcs. I will first present some basic definitions and then Iwill talk about the problem of characterisation of sets of periods and periodic points. Some old resultsrelated to the problem will be mentioned followed by our results. These include linear operators, toralautomorphisms and Solenoidal automorphisms.
